My work focuses on the development of early mammalian embryos. The main goal is to establish techniques for characterizing the main cellular events occurring as the earliest embryonic structures become recognizable, and to better understand the lineage relationships between the cells of the embryo and the pluripotent stem cell lines cultured in vitro.
